Prepare Your Lids • Lids are for one-time use only. • Wash lids in hot, soapy water. • Rinse well, set lids aside until ready to use. Use Your Lids • Fill jars according to your recipe instructions. • Wipe any food from rims of jar. • Center new lids on jars. Apply bands adjust until fit is fingertip tight. Check the Seal • After processing, all jars to cool for 12 to 24 hr before checking seal. • Press center of lid. Lid should not flex up and down when pressed. • Store sealed jars in pantry for up to 18 months.
