Preparation & Usage
Directions for Use: ● Place poultry, beef, seafood, or vegetables in a Soup Sock™ ● Tie a knot in the open end or secure with Majestic Chef Cooking Twine™ ● Place in pot and allow to cook according to recipe ● Carefully remove with oven mitt and/or tongs. Sock and contents will be hot! ● Allow to drain. Gently squeeze out excess liquid over pot if desired. ● Discard or cut open and transfer contents into serving dish. Mama's old fashioned chicken soup 1 whole chicken 1 tbs salt (to taste) 2 onions, halved 2 tbs fresh cracked pepper (to taste) 3 cups of celery, cleaned and cut into 1" pieces 2 packets sugar substitute (.035 oz.) 4 carrots, cleaned and cut into 1" pieces 1 pkg instant chicken soup mix 1 large tomato halved 1 pkg cooked egg noodles if desired Thoroughly wash chicken and remove giblet package. Salt the chicken inside and out. Place the chicken in one Soup Sock™ and vegetables in another if desired. Tie a knot in the end. Put the Soup Sock™ and seasonings in a large pot and cover with 7-12 cups of water. The chicken and vegtables must be completely submerged. Bring to a rapid boil for 10 minutes, then turn down to simmer and cook until chicken is tender. Approximately 2-3 hours. Carefully remove Soup Sock™ with tongs and/or oven mitt. Gently squeeze excess liquid into pot to get all the flavor Hint: To make soup lower in fat, refrigerate soup and skim congealed fat off easily with a large slotted spoon.
