Ingredients
3 tbs Bowl & Basket Specialty Olive Oil
1 lb Pizza Dough, Store-Bought or Homemade
1 jar Pizza Sauce
8 oz Thinly Sliced Mozzarella
Bowl & Basket Specialty Grated Parmesan Cheese
Fresh Basil Leaves
Directions
- Preheat the grill to 400 degrees (medium high heat) and make sure the grill grates are clean and oiled.
- While grill is preheating, cut a large piece of parchment paper and drizzle olive oil over it.
- Spread it out evenly with your fingers, then place pizza dough on top of oiled parchment paper.
- Spread out gently until it is about ½ inch thick. If the dough shrinks back, let it rest for 10 minutes before flattening it again.
- When grill is ready, carefully flip parchment paper with pizza dough so that the pizza dough lands safely on the grill and the parchment paper is facing you.
- Quickly and carefully pull the parchment paper away from the dough and close the grill.
- Let the pizza crust cook 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Use tongs to gently flip the pizza dough over, then spread evenly with pizza sauce and top with mozzarella.
- Close grill and cook an additional 3-5 minutes or until bottom is golden and mozzarella has melted.
- Remove pizza from grill; top with basil leaves and sprinkle with additional grated parmesan cheese if desired.
- Cut and serve!
