Our homemade Granola recipe was developed in 1998 when one of the original founders, Marcia, decided to make it as a gift for her husband Glenn. Glenn couldn't find a granola with the chunky texture, organic ingredients and flavor he liked. So she carfully selected fresh organic ingredients and came up with Mountain Rise Granola. When she handed him his first bowl to taste, he thought it was the best granola he ever tried. They first began to offer it at the local farmer's market where they sold their produce and herbs from their organic farm. The response was incredible! The granola was so popular it was featured on the Food Network's Food Finds Show. This chunky, 100% Organic Whole Grain granola makes a yummy breakfast or anytime snack. With our Big, lightly sweetened clusters of rolled oats, cornmeal and wholewheat flour we encourage immediate eating right out of the bag! Or for the more connoisseur minded, a bowl is recommended with organic milk or yogurt. All of our varieties (Original, Vegan, Chunky Cocoa, Monkey Business, Spice of Life and Black Bear) are hand made on small batches and packaged with love just like that first batches and packaged with love just like that first batch years ago. They are made with Certified Organic, 100% Whole Grains. No GMO's, trans-fats or other mystery ingredients. All our granolas are tree nut, peanut and sesane seed free and made in a tree nut, peanut and sesame seed free facility. Many thanks to our family, friends and customers for their continued support.
