Remove food from oven, turn on the digital display by pressing the On/Off button and insert thermometer in the thickest part of the meat, immersing the stem at least 1", but not in contact with bone, fat or gristle and wait for the temperature to stabilize. 2. If more cooking time is needed, remove the thermometer from the food and return the dish to the oven. 3. The digital display can be powered off or will auto-shut off after a few minutes. Temperature Range: -40°F to 302°F Cleaning and Care: Handwash only. Do not immerse in water or put in dishwasher. Battery Replacement: Gently pull top portion of the thermometer housing open, being careful not to pull and disconnect any wires. Use a coin to push the old battery out of the metal holder away from the wires. Insert a new battery with + sign up into the metal holder. Align flat sides of housing and snap top back into place. Turn thermometer on to check for proper functioning.
