Preparation & Usage
Scrubs- Scatter jacks, toss ball, pick up one jack and scrub it across the playing surface with a back and forth motion. Keep jack in right hand and after ball bounces once, catch the ball in the same hand. Transfer jack to left hand and proceed until all six jacks have been "scrubbed." Rescatter and scrub by twos, threes, etc. thru sixes. Upcast - Scatter jack with right hand. Toss the ball with right, pick up one jack with right hand and catch the ball in the right hand after it has bounced once. Toss the ball up again with the right hand and while it bounces transfer the jack to the left hand and then catch the ball in the right hand. Continue until all jacks are in the left hand. Scatter again and proceed by twos, threes, etc. thru sixes. Crack the Eggs - Scatter Jacks with right hand. Toss ball with right hand and while ball bounces once, pick up one jack with right hand. "Crack" (tap) it on the playing surface, and catch ball with the right hand while still holding the jack. Transfer the jack to the left hand and proceed in the same manner until all jacks have been picked up. Scatter again and proceed by twos, threes, etc. thru sixes. Eggs in Basket - Scatter jacks, toss ball, pick up one jack using right hand only and while ball bounces once, transfer jack to left hand, then catch ball with right hand. When all jacks have been picked up and transferred to the left hand, the jacks are all put in the right hand and scattered again. Proceed by twos, threes, etc. thru sixes.
