(OPD) customers can also purchase select plastic gift cards with pick-up orders only. No plastic gift cards (store, mall or financial) can be purchased online for delivery orders.

+ How/where can I purchase e-gift cards to send to recipients via email?
Customers can now visit wakefern.giftcards.com to send digital gift cards (also called e-gift cards) to recipients via email. For mall gift cards (such as Xbox, Kohl’s, Panera), customers can select gift card values up to $500. ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer store e-gift cards are also available to purchase at wakefern.giftcards.com in $25, $50 and $100 denominations. All e-gift card purchases can also include a personalized message to the recipient if desired.
+ Will I get a purchase confirmation email when I order an e-gift card?
Yes. A confirmation receipt will be sent to you when you order an e-gift card. You will also receive a confirmation that the e-gift card was sent to the recipient.
+ How will the recipient know I sent them an e-gift card?
You can include a personalized message to the recipient when you send an e-gift card. If you choose not to include a personalized message, the recipient will be sent the name of the sender only.
+ What is the email address/display name that the various e-gift card emails are sent from?
Gift card purchasers and recipients should look for emails from ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer. The email address is [email protected].
+ What do I do if the recipient of the e-gift card does not get an email?
E-gift cards are typically delivered to the recipient’s email address within minutes after purchase is confirmed, however you should allow up to 3 hours to receive them. Please contact [email protected] or call (833) 461-2101 if the recipient does not receive an email after three hours.
+ How do I redeem an e-gift card in store?
There are two ways to redeem an e-gift card in store:
1. You can open the e-gift card email on your smartphone and show the bar code to the cashier. They will scan it, and apply the funds to your order. For ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer e-gift cards, the PIN included in the email is also required at checkout.
2. You can print the e-gift email, then give the printed email with barcode to the cashier at checkout. They will scan the barcode, and apply the funds to your order. For ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer e-gift cards, the PIN included in the email is also required at checkout.

+ Can I use a ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer plastic or e-gift cards on shoprite.com and/or the ShopRite mobile app (or thefreshgrocer.com or The Fresh Grocer app) to pay for online orders?
Yes. However, if your plastic ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer gift card does NOT have a scratch-off/peel-off area on the back, you cannot use it to pay online. To apply ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer plastic or e-gift cards to your Order. Pickup. Deliver. order, select “gift card”on the payment screen and follow the instructions at checkout. A credit or debit card is also required when using any gift cards to pay for an online order.

At checkout, you can choose the dollar amount to be loaded to the card, up to a maximum of $500 per card and $2,000 total per day, per customer. ShopRite e-Gift cards purchased from wakefern.giftcards.com are available in $25, $50 or $100 denominations.
+ How do I order ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer plastic gift cards in bulk?

+ Can I order e-gift cards in bulk?
We do not allow e-gift cards to be ordered in bulk at this time. If you would like to send e-gift cards to more than one recipient you will need to place separate orders for each recipient.
+ When are gift cards ready for use?
Both plastic and e-gift cards are activated at the time of purchase and are immediately ready to use. Always treat gift cards as you would cash.
+ How are ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer gift card funds applied to in-store and online purchases?
Your gift card’s total available balance will be applied to the purchase total. If the current value of the card exceeds the purchase total, the remaining balance will be retained on the card except as otherwise required by law. If you have a remaining balance on your plastic card, be sure to keep the card for a future purchase.
+ Can I use more than one gift card (plastic or e) for an in-store purchase?
Yes. You can redeem multiple gift cards (plastic or e) on in-store purchases as long as they have a balance.
+ Can I use more than one gift card (plastic or e) for online Order. Pickup. Deliver. (OPD) orders?
The maximum number of gift cards (plastic or e) that a customer can use for an OPD order is five. Please note that no matter how many gift cards are used for an online order, a credit or debit card will also be required.
+ Can I combine plastic and e-gift cards to pay for one order?
Customers can use a combination of plastic and e-gift cards for in-store or online purchases.
+ Where can I use ShopRite gift cards?
ShopRite plastic and e-gift cards can only be used to purchase merchandise and services at a ShopRite store or ShopRite pharmacy. You can also use ShopRite gift cards to pay online for Order. Pickup. Deliver. and Order Express orders placed via the website or app. Note that ShopRite gift cards cannot be used in ShopRite liquor stores or where prohibited by law.
+ Where can I use The Fresh Grocer gift cards?
The Fresh Grocer plastic and e-gift cards can only be used to purchase merchandise and services at The Fresh Grocer stores. You can also use The Fresh Grocer gift cards to pay online for Order. Pickup. Deliver. and Order Express orders placed via the website or app.
+ Is there a way to select a specific amount I want to use from my ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer gift card toward my order?
If you choose to pay by gift card, our system will automatically apply the entire balance of the card to your order, unless the total of your order is less than the amount of the gift card. In that case, the system will only use what it needs to pay for the order. For online orders, you will also be required to add a credit card as a second form of payment, no matter the order total or total on your ShopRite gift card.
+ Can I trade a ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer gift card in for cash?
ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer gift cards (plastic and e) cannot be redeemed for cash except when required by law.
+ What if I lose my gift card? What if my gift card is stolen? Can I get it replaced?
Protect all ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer gift cards (plastic and e) as you would cash. Call 1-800-ShopRite (1-800-746-7748) for questions related to lost or stolen ShopRite or The Fresh Grocer gift cards.

The funds on ShopRite gift cards do not expire.
